about
Dalcroze Eurhythmics
Dalcroze Eurhythmics connects music with movement, helping students of all ages develop a deep understanding of rhythm, harmony, and melody. Through interactive classes where instructors adapt music to participants' gestures and actions, the method creates a responsive and engaging learning experience. This dynamic approach encourages creativity and empowers students to embody music in unique and meaningful ways.

Émile Jaques-Dalcroze
The Swiss composer, musician, and music educator founded the Dalcroze Eurhythmics - an approach to learning and experiencing music through movement. Developed in the early 20th century, the method has had a lasting impact on contemporary music education by fostering a more dynamic, experiential, and integrated approach to teaching and learning music.
Institut Jaques-Dalcroze
The Institut Jaques-Dalcroze (IJD) in Geneva, Switzerland, is the international centre of the Dalcroze Eurhythmics method. In this active musical pedagogy based on body movement, students (child, adult, or professional) experience the body as an instrument – whereby musicality is felt and transmitted.
